Pricing

Priced on what you print, not on seats.

Try PrintHook for 90 days with 5,000 prints per UTC calendar month. Your trial starts when you verify your email. No card required. No automatic charges.

Trial terms. At the trial deadline, new printing stops unless you have an active paid plan; your account stays accessible. Already accepted jobs may finish. The trial does not convert to paid service automatically. Paid checkout is not available yet.

Trial and future plans

Planned paid plans. The paid prices and endpoint policies below are for future plans, not the trial. They are not available to buy yet. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable tax.

The trial includes: PDF and raw content, content by URL, print options, job timeline, 5 signed webhooks per account, webhook delivery history and replay, USB scales, team roles, two-step verification, audit history, agent self-update. The full published limits are in GET /v1/meta.

Integrators

Platforms that print for their own customers.

If your product prints on your users' printers, you want one account per customer without one contract per customer. PrintHook has child accounts: your integration key acts as a child with the PrintHook-Account header, each child has its own fleet and job history, and prints pool at the parent.

Planned integrator plans are priced on active child accounts and pooled prints; checkout is not available yet. A white-label console and a single-tenant deployment are planned on annual terms.

Questions

How billing works

What counts as a print?

One unit is one submitted document copy: the job's quantity multiplied by its options.copies. Units are reserved when a job is accepted, in the same transaction. Rejected or rolled-back jobs consume nothing, and a retry with the same Idempotency-Key is never charged twice. A job that is accepted and later fails or is canceled does not refund its unit.

What is an endpoint?

A computer running the PrintHook Agent. One agent serves every printer and scale attached to that computer, so a pack station with a label printer, a laser printer and a scale is one endpoint.

When does usage reset?

At 00:00 UTC on the first of each UTC calendar month, not on the trial or subscription anniversary. Changing plans does not reset the month's usage. The monthly reset does not extend or restart a trial. At the trial deadline, new printing stops until an active paid plan is in place.

What happens when I reach my allowance?

You hear first: the account's owners are emailed at 80% of the allowance and again when it is used up, and the console shows it above every page. Then new submissions are refused with quota_exceeded, naming the allowance, what is used and when the month resets, until the month resets while the trial is still active. Paid checkout is not available yet. There are no overage invoices and no surprise charges.

What if my payment fails?

The trial collects no card and makes no automatic charges. When paid plans become available, only an active paid entitlement will receive its paid allowance. Expired trials never fall back to free printing, including after a later paid-plan cancellation. Canceling at the end of a period keeps an active paid allowance until that period ends.

Who can manage billing?

The owner of the top-level account, from the console. Integration keys cannot change billing, and billing cannot be changed while acting as a child account. Child accounts consume their parent's allowance.

Is there a self-hosted option?

Not today. A managed single-tenant Private Cloud plan is planned. Write to hello@printhook.io if you need something else.
